We examine the periodic disappearance of superconductivity in a mesoscopic
superconducting ring whose radius is close to the zero-temperature coherenc
e length. We have used energy gap measurement by small tunnel junctions. We
find that the amplitude of the Little-Parks oscillation is smaller than th
at predicted from the Ginzburg-Landau theory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V
