We study statistical properties of the eigenfunctions in the three-dimensio
nal Anderson model of localization. In the metallic regime, these are descr
ibed by random matrix theory. As disorder is increased, incipient localizat
ion causes deviations from random matrix behavior. We have calculated wave
functions in this regime and analyze the deviations from the predictions of
random matrix theory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V, All rights reserved.
