Abstract
We propose a new cryogenic refrigerator which is a hybrid of the Brayton ma gnetic-cooling cycle and the Gifford-McMahon (GM) gas-cooling cycle. We eva luate the refrigeration power of the refrigerator with an ErNi regenerator material by a numerical simulation. The results show a remarkably large ref rigeration power in contrast to the conventional simple GM gas refrigerator . (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
