Abstract
The German critic alone, thanks to H.R. Jauss, has admitted that we owe to Benjamin the renewed study of allegory in Baudelaire. The German thinker ha s opened up a way that we are hardly starting to explore. The allegory in B audelaire's poetry requires some new poetics, a few points of which we are studying in this article.
