Abstract
The role of plant cover and soil conservation practices in erosion con trol was estimated during longterm experimental research. Data obtaine d allowed us to generate maps of actual and potential risk of erosion for the agricultural soils of Huambo province (Central Plateau of Ango la). The Wischmeier-Smith method was used for evaluation of erosional losses.
