Abstract
A thick film (similar to 1 mu m) of (Hg, Re)-1223 precursor has been deposi ted on a substrate at: high temperature (800 degrees C) from an aerosol. Th e mercuration is then performed ex situ in a sealed quartz ampoule. This fo rms a (Hg, Re)-1223 superconducting film of optimum T-c (133 K) without pos t-annealing oxygen processes. The film is c-axis textured. The total proces s is fast and low cost and could be easily scaled up.
