Abstract
(E)-alpha-Selanylvinylzirconium and (E)-alpha-silylvinylzirconium complexes 2 were prepared conveniently via hydrozirconation of the alkynylselenides and the alkynylsilanes 1, respectively. Intermediates 2 were reacted with a cyl chlorides 3 via Zr-Cu transmetallation with retention of the configurat ion to afford alpha-seleno or alpha-silyl alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones 4 in good yield.
