Abstract
The behaviour of strongly coupled optical and excitonic states has been obs erved experimentally in microcavities containing organic semiconductors. Do e to the asymmetry of the exciton absorption, modifications to existing mod els are necessary. Presented here are revised linear dispersion and quantum mechanical models, which are used to verify the observed phenomena. (C) 20 00 Published by Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
