Abstract
As a model compound for corresponding PPV polymers containing phthalocyanin e (Pc) subunits a phenylenevinylene-bridged nickel Pc dimer is synthesized. The synthesis route includes a modified Pc-monoaldehyde, which furnishes w ith 0.5 equivalents of p-xylylene bis(triphenylphosphonium)bromide in a Wit tig reaction the Pc dimer.
