Abstract
The short arm of chromosome 1B carrying a translocation of rye materia l was mapped in cv. Salmon. The Glu-B1 gene located on the long arm of chromosome 1B was also mapped. The most probable position of genes is Gpi-R1, Nor-R1, Gli-R1, Glu-B3(S), and Glu-B1. Distances between Gpi- R1 and Nor-R1, Gpi-R1 and Gli-R1, Nor-R1 and Gli-R1, Nor-R1 and Glu-B3 (S), Gli-R1 and Glu-B3(S), Glu-B1 and Glu-B1, and Glu-B3(S) and Glu-B1 are equal to 16.01 +/- 4.02, 23.19 +/- 5.01, 15.92 +/- 5.57, 24.43 +/ - 6.85, 20.57 +/- 4.83, 29.91 +/- 5.99, and 36.34 +/- 6.55% of recombi nation, respectively.
