Management of retroperitoneal arterial injury after heart catheterization in children

With the expansion of interventional cardiology into the pediatric populati on, vascular complications related to cardiac catheterization can be expect ed to occur. Cardiac surgeons must be prepared to treat these life-threaten ing injuries. We present a case and detail the technique of the surgical ma nagement of retroperitoneal arterial injury after interventional cardiac ca theterization in a 6-month-old boy.
