Abstract
Optimal spectral schemes for satellite measurement of outgoing microwave ra diation in the band 50-70 GHz are constructed with regard to the problem of recovering the atmospheric temperature profile. The accuracy of sensing of the atmosphere for optimal spectral conditions of measurement of outgoing radiation in the troposphere is 1.0-2.0 K, and in the stratosphere it is cl ose to 1.0 K. The advantages of radiometers with optimal spectral schemes o ver AMSU radiometers and the Russian satellite microwave system, scheduled for launch on the 'Meteor-3M' satellite, are demonstrated.
