Ca. Mccammon et al., A new method for single crystal measurements: Application to Mossbauer spectra of mineral inclusions in diamond, HYPER INTER, 126(1-4), 2000, pp. 241-245
The milliprobe technique has expanded the number of potential applications
of Mossbauer spectroscopy, including the study of single crystals. Recent w
ork has reported determination of the electric field gradient and mean-squa
red displacement tensors in hedenbergite, a member of the pyroxene mineral
group. Results are used to assess Mossbauer data collected from clinopyroxe
ne single crystals that occur as inclusions in diamond.
