Abstract
We have extended our previous semikinetic study of early stage plasmas phere refilling with perpendicular ion heating (Lin et al., 1992) by r emoving the restriction that the northern and southern boundaries are identical and incorporating a generalized transport description for th e electrons (e.g., Brown et al., 1991). This allows investigation of t he effects of electron heating and a more realistic calculation of ele ctric fields produced by ion and electron temperature anisotropies.
