The building, analyzing and simulating of a multimedia network based on CATV system

This work present the design for an enhanced network system based on CATV a nd CSMA/CD. It is for real time and multimedia transmission. The Object-Ori ented technique is also incorporated into State Chart to design the network , referred to herein as OOSTD. In addition, the multimedia network is thoro ughly analyzed and the system is simulated by queuing model and implemented . The analysis and simulation results confirm that the throughput and delay of MORENET system are better than the conventional CSMA/CD or multi-channe l CSMA/CD network.
