Abstract
In this paper, ne compare performance of several multiuser detectors for di fferentially encoded data combined with simple, disjoint, decision-directed Kalman channel estimators over nat Rayleigh fading channels, Simpler detec tors with noncoherent differential detection are also compared. Different p erformance trends relative to the case of perfect channel estimation are ob served, We find that in the presence of channel mismatch, the linear decorr elator is the most robust detector in terms of the bit-error rate and the n ear-far resistance, Parameter adjustment for fading channel modeling and es timation in the decision-directed mode are also discussed.
