Abstract
Montmorillonites intercalated with Ce-Al pillars were synthesized. It was f ound that the precursor of cerium and aluminum determined the presence of C e-Al mixed oxide pillars. The catalytic performance in the 2-propanol conve rsion of the various samples is discussed in terms of the catalyst structur e. It was found that the surface features of these interlayered materials a re different from those of large ceria-alumina particles.
