Abstract
The advent of laser desorption/ionization and electrospray ionization techn iques in mass spectrometry has enabled the study of large metal carbonyl cl uster anions. These new methods provide both molecular weight and structura l information and allow the study of cluster mixtures whose characteristics approach those of colloids. [GRAPHICS]
