Abstract
A wavelet-Galerkin method for periodic heterogeneous media is presented. Th e advantages are to remove the mesh and to make adaptivity easier. Numerica l results are presented. A specific study of interfaces in a Al-SiC composi te is given. [S0021-8936(00)00301-9].
