Abstract
The catalytic system made up of cobalt(II) acetylacetonate, 2-methylpropana
l and dioxygen (or air) facilitated the oxidative cleavage of (1S,2S,3R,5S)
-(+)-pinanediol 1a and (1 R,2R,3S,SR)-(-)-pinanediol 1b to enantiomerically
