Abstract
We investigate the N-15(alpha, gamma)F-19 and O-15(alpha, gamma)Ne-19 react ions by using a multicluster description of N-15 and O-15. The N-15(alpha, gamma)F-19 and O-15(alpha, gamma)Ne-19 wave functions are defined in the Ge nerator Coordinate Method, using alpha and triton (or He-3) wave functions. The band structure and the E2 transition probabilities are well reproduced by the model, but some resonances, important for astrophysics, are missing . The non-resonant part of the N-15(alpha, gamma)F-19 and O-15(alpha, gamma )Ne-19 capture cross sections is discussed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
