Abstract
The formation of 1 : 1 molecular complexes between potassium alkylxanthates and alkyl-N-phenylcarbamates was proved by thermochemical and kinetic meth ods. The dissociation constants acid the enthalpies of formation of the com plexes at 298 K were determined. The initial stage of thermal decomposition of potassium alkylxanthates in the presence of alkyl-N-phenylcarbamates wa s shown to be the formation of their molecular complex, which was less stab le than the initial potassium xanthate at the temperature of pyrolysis (abo ve 400 K).
