Mv. Lukin et al., The heats of hydrogen adsorption on porous nickel from dimethylformamide-water binary solvents, RUSS J PH C, 74(6), 2000, pp. 970-973
The heats of hydrogen adsorption on porous nickel from dimethylformamide-wa
ter binary solvents were determined by the adsorption-calorimetric method.
The composition of the solvent had no substantial effect on the amount of h
ydrogen adsorbed on the surface of the catalyst. The character of the depen
dences of the heats of adsorption on the degree of surface coverage was det
ermined by the composition of the binary solvent. Solvent effects on the he
ats of hydrogen adsorption were caused by quantitative redistribution betwe
en different hydrogen adsorption forms. This redistribution occurred as a r
esult of changes in the structural characteristics and the basicity functio
n of the solvent caused by dimethylformamide concentration variations.
