Abstract
An action of a static electric field on liquids without contact with potent ial-setting electrodes connected to a high-voltage source was studied. Rela xational changes in the absorbance of polar and nonpolar media after electr ic field treatment were observed. This phenomenon was explained by the pola rization of the media in the electric field.
