Abstract
A series of four phenylene-thienyl based conducting polymers have been synt hesized with push-pull funtionalities incorporated in the phenylene and thi enyl moieties to control the solubility and emission properties. Light-emit ting devices (LEDs) were constructed on indium tin oxide (ITO) and aluminum substrates. The emission wavelength could be tuned by constructing devices with mixtures of the polymers.
