Abstract
A mathematical model for the dynamics of an ideal inviscid liquid bridge is proposed. The Hamiltonian structure of this model is described. Methods of Hamiltonian mechanics are applied to investigate the stability and bifurca tion of rigidly rotating liquid bridges.
