Thromboembolism represents a severe complication of inflammatory bowel dise

and pulmonary embolism are the most frequent thromboembolism manifestation
s. Arterial complications and unusual sites for thromboembolism are more ra

most all parameters of coagulation are enhanced. Anticoagulation during the
episode of thromboembolism is mandatory, and sometimes may ameliorate the
course of inflammatory bowel disease.
