Bm. Kim et al., Effects of high repetition rate and beam size on hard tissue damage due tosubpicosecond laser pulses, APPL PHYS L, 76(26), 2000, pp. 4001-4003
We report the effects of the repetition rate and the beam size on the thres
hold for ultrashort laser pulse induced damage in dentin. The observed resu
lts are explained as cumulative thermal effects. Our model is consistent wi
th the experimental results and explains the dependence of the threshold on
repetition rate, beam size, and exposure time. (C) 2000 American Institute
