Abstract
A new complex {[2, 4-(CH3)(2)C5H5](2)GdCl)(2) was obtained by the reaction
of [2,4-(CH3)(2)C5H5](3)Gd with GdCl3 in toluene at refluxing temperature.
The compound {[2,4-(CH3)(2)C5H5](2)GdCl)(2) crystallizes in the monoclinic
system, space group P2(1)/n with a = 0.891 41 (18) nm, b = 1. 448 6(3) nm,
c = 1. 159 25 (15) nm, beta = 92. 996(18)degrees, V = 1. 494 9(4) nm(3), Z
= 3.
