Abstract
Kinetics of isothermal conversion of B10H12(NH3)(2). N2H4 in hydrazine vapo ur is studied in a static apparatus at 205-227 degrees C. It is shown that B10H12(NH3)(2). N2H4 interacts with hydrazine vapour, B10H12(NH3)(2)xxN(2)H (4)+xN(2)H(4), up to the atomic ratio [N]:[B]approximate to 1 to release 11 .0-11.5 moles of hydrogen. Hydrazine reacts like a bidentate molecule. The reaction rate obeys the first-order equation with k=7.5.10(18)exp{-(53000+/ -+/-2500)/RT}, s(-1). Composition of the solid-phase product at the dose of the conversion corresponds to (BNH)(n).
