It is shown that using an approach of pair additive interaction of particle
s, relationships may be derived from the fundamental principles to describe
the structural component of disjoining pressure of thin films Pi, both in
the case of small, medium and large thicknesses H. In the case of small thi
cknesses, in full agreement with the experiment, both oscillations and a gr
adual exponential decrease in disjoining pressure become possible. In the c
ase of medium and large thicknesses, the structural component of disjoining
pressure changes by the Pi similar to H-3 and Pi similar to H-4 laws, resp
ectively. It is shown that the short-range term of the structural component
can stabilize thin films.
