Crystallization of a polydispersed system of crystals with a power dependen
ce of the crystal growth rate on size is considered for a continuously orga
nized process. The kinetic law describing the growth of ellipsoidal crystal
s is analyzed in detail. Equations for moments of the crystal size distribu
tion function are obtained. Special cases where the set of equations for mo
ments is simplified are considered. A relationship between these equations
and simplified equations for the crystal size distribution function is esta
blished. Examples of calculations according to the proposed equations are g
iven.
