Abstract
This paper discusses the importance of managing liabilities in the nuc lear industry and considers the main ingredients which make for succes sful liabilities management. It looks specifically at UKAEA's experien ce to date and lists its key management principles, including the use of the liabilities management ratio which is the company's current bot tom-line performance measure.
