Abstract
Nanoparticles of Ni, Ru, and Ni-Ru oxides have been prepared by electrodepo sition of these metals coordinated into the dendrimer molecules, and their electrochemical and catalytic activities have been evaluated. The dendrimer molecules used were amine- and hydroxyl-terminated poly(amidoamine) dendri mers. The nanosized particles thus prepared showed significantly enhanced c atalytic activities for oxidation of ethanol compared to bulk metal oxide e lectrodes. (C) 2000 The Electrochemical Society.
