Abstract
Evaluated the use of scheduled awakenings to eliminate sleepwalking us ing a noncurrent multiple baseline design across three subjects with p ersistent sleepwalking. Treatment procedure involves having parents aw aken children several hours after they go to sleep and just before the typical time of the sleepwalking episode. This intervention proven im mediately successful in eliminating sleepwalking in all three children . Treatment effects were maintained at 3 and 6 months posttreatment. I mplications for intervention and future research are discussed.
