Abstract
CpTiCl2(OR) (R=Cyclohexyl, CH2Ph, C6H4-Bu'-P, Bu-n, Bu-i, CH2CH=CH2) are sy nthesized, characterized and tested as syndiotactic polymerization catalyst s of styrene. The structure and nature of the R group has a great effect on the activity of catalysts. Unsaturated groups and the conjugation of unsat urated groups with oxygen result in the drop of activity; while a more hind ered R group increases activity. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
