I. Nagata et al., Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibria of mixtures of (methanol plus ethanol plus l-propanol or 2-propanol) at 333.15 K, FLU PH EQUI, 170(1), 2000, pp. 37-48
The UNIQUAC associated-solution theory is extended to reproduce systems con
taining three alcohols and is applied to binary and ternary mixtures of alc
ohols. The isothermal vapor-liquid equilibrium data of the liquid mixtures
of (methanol + ethanol + 1-propanol) and (methanol + ethanol + 2-propanol)
have been measured at 333.15 K using a modified Boublik vapor-recirculating
still. The experimental results are analyzed by use of the UNIQUAC associa
ted-solution theory and the UNIQUAC model with binary parameters alone. Bot
h models give comparable results. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
