Abstract
Spinal cord stroke is uncommon. We report a woman presenting with paraesthe
sia followed by tetraparesis and respiratory failure who was initially diag
nosed as having Guillain-Barre syndrome. Subsequent clinical and imaging fe
atures supported the diagnosis of an anterior spinal cord infarction. We de
scribe the main clinical and imaging features of this condition.
