Abstract
The calicivirus oubreak in hares which occured in Center West of Franc e in the fall of 1996 illustrates the pathogenic role of caliciviruses in animals and in humans. A comparison of these different viruses, ba sed on the RNA nucleic sequences is presented. The aspect of interspec ies transmission is also discussed.
