Charge oscillations in a double quantum dot in the Coulomb blockade regime

The two-electron dynamics in a symmetric double quantum dot placed in a con stant electric field is considered. It is shown that, despite the Coulomb b lockade, interdot electron-density oscillations are possible. In these osci llations, a charge equal to the charge of a single electron is periodically transferred from one quantum dot to the other. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interp eriodica".
