Abstract
Let K be any field which may not be algebraically closed, V a finite-dimens
ional Vector space over K, sigma is an element of GL(V) where the order of
a can be finite or infinite.
THEOREM. If dim(K) V less than or equal to 3, then both K(V)([sigma]) and K
(P(V))([sigma]) are rational (= purely transcendental) over K. similar resu
