Properties of a classical electron gas at the surface of condensed media

An analysis is made of the problem of the density distribution of a classic al electron gas in a charged capacitor whose electrodes are coated with die lectric films (liquid or solid). At high density the electrons form thin la yers at each of the capacitor electrodes. The electric field distribution i s determined both inside and outside these layers.
