Abstract
The complexing ability of thiophene-2-aldehyde thiosemicarbazone (L) has be en investigated. Copper complexes of the type CuLL1 have been prepared, whe re L-1 = saticylaldehyde/salicylaldoxime/salicylaldehyde semicarbazone/sali cylaldehyde phenylhydrazone/salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone/8-hydroxyquin oline/2-hydroxypyridine The complexes have a square - planar structure. The antibacterial activities of these complexes have also been studied.
