Abstract
Plasticizing systems with standard screws continue to cover a very wide ran ge of applications in injection moulding. Nevertheless, in melting engineer ing plastics or for high outputs with polyolefins, they still come up again st their limits. For such cases, special screws and high performance screws are available. The performance of barrier screws, in particular, has consi derably increased.
