Abstract
An ultrasonic technique for inline measurement of the velocity and absorpti on of longitudinal waves during the extrusion process was developed. For PS it was possible to differentiate between the different melt-flaw indices. For the PE/glass bead composite a significant dependency of both measured v ariables on the composition was found.
