Abstract
Disorders affecting the peripheral vestibular system commonly involve the p eripheral auditory system causing hearing loss. There are a number of disor ders, however, that selectively involve the peripheral vestibular system ca using dizziness without hearing loss. These disorders include benign paroxy smal positional vertigo, vestibular neuritis, recurrent vestibulopathy, fam ilial vestibulopathy, and bilateral idiopathic vestibulopathy. This article reviews these disorders and their diagnosis and management.
