Abstract
A device for studying the magnetocaloric effect in pulsed magnetic fie lds up to 8 T is described. Data on magnetocaloric effect in gadoliniu m metal obtained by this technique was compared to that obtained by ot her experimental methods. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
