Imaging atomic Stark spectra - art. no. 063405

Photoabsorption spectra have been measured as a continuous function of ener gy and applied electric held for the m = 0, 1, and 2 Rydberg series in sodi um. The spectra are Fourier transformed in scaled coordinates, generating s caled recurrence maps. The continuous nature of the scaled maps allows us t o investigate patterns in the recurrence strength with good resolution.
