Abstract
We construct a two component Ginzburg-Landau theory with coherent pair moti on and incoherent quasiparticles for the phase diagram of U1-xThxBe13. The two staggered superconducting states live at the Brillouin zone center and the zone boundary and coexist for temperatures T less than or equal to T-c2 at concentrations x(c1) approximate to 0.02 less than or equal to x less t han or equal to x(c2) approximate to 0.04. We predict below T-c2 the appear ance of a charge density wave (CDW) and Be-sublattice distortion. The disto rtion explains the muon spin relaxation anomaly: Th-impurity mediated scatt ering of ultrasound to CDW fluctuations explains the attenuation peak.
