This paper develops general expenditure choice elasticities, suitable
for travel and accommodation. Expenditure and quantity choice elastici
ties are predominantly linear combinations of compensated price elasti
cities, but expenditure may have an appreciable income component. Gene
ration elasticities are linear combinations of compensated price elast
icities, with a small income effect.
